The Gambling Recovery Information Network Peer Training.

This course is designed for people with lived experience of addiction and provides comprehensive training for individuals to be able to support others impacted by gambling harms, particularly in peer roles. Delivered live on-line by trained peers with lived experience of gambling harm, the course encompasses 30 hours of training time. The GRIN Peer Training covers ten core modules rooted in trauma-informed care, public health, and lived experience practice. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills to engage with individuals and families affected by gambling ethically and effectively, while prioritizing self-care and professional development. This 30-hour training may be scheduled by request from organizations or individuals seeking to train a group of peers in gambling harm reduction and recovery. This training is certified by the International Problem Gambling and Gaming Counselor
